It was the worst nuclear disaster in history, spewing thousands of tons of radioactive waste into the atmosphere and prompting the evacuation of more than 100,000 people. Many of them have returned, many more have never left their homes and 30 years after the Chernobyl tragedy local population is still being exposed to the deadly radiation that fell to their sleepy towns of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus 3 decades ago.
